Oriented towards a rhythmical performance, we started a long run using voice, hands and also feet.

Trying to broaden our feet’s sound spectra, we invented a sonic floor with endless musical possibilities : LE DUCHOPHONE

Thanks to its electronic captors system linked to a sampler, this instrument allows us by a simple foot stomp, to produce any pre-registered sound.

The DUCHOPHONE became an inescapable part of “GROSSE PRESSION” by the musical possibilities it offers and the spectacular aspect naturally imposed by our legendary leg movements.

This extraordinary technical and musical research field allows us today to play in duo, six musical parts at the same time. Thus making us “polyrhythmic men”.

The musical diversity, this new instrument and the performances of our shows, often leave the audiences wondering how… - some think we use pre-registered tapes, where none are used all through the show (nor in the enclosed CD Rom).
